The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are off on another official royal tour this year, this time heading to Poland and Germany in July. Despite the “busy” schedule of events planned for Catherine and Prince William during their time abroad, Kensington Palace announced yesterday that the doting parents have made the decision to take Prince George and Princess Charlotte with them on the tour.

The exciting news comes after the family of four’s successful royal tour to Canada last year. Just like their trip to Ottawa, the Palace has revealed that we can expect plenty of sweet snaps and adorable photos of the children during their time in Europe with the Duke and Duchess.

“The Duke and Duchess are very much looking forward to this tour and are delighted with the exciting and varied programme that has been put together for it” a Kensington Palace spokesperson said.

“They have decided that their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will travel with them and we expect the children to be seen on at least a couple of occasions over the course of the week.”

“They look forward to a busy and impactful tour and are grateful that they will have the opportunity to meet the Polish and German people – such important friends of the United Kingdom – as a family.”

Just like their trips to Canada and India last year, or their visit to Paris earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have asked to meet, “young people of both countries” during their tour.

Their official engagements will allow them time to speak with entrepreneurs, mental health campaigners, and “bright young talents in music and the arts” during their time in Poland and Germany.

The official tour, which is taking place between the 17th and 21st of July, will also see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge see some of the architectural splendours of both countries, learn more about their history and attend a couple of black tie events – including a birthday party in honour of Her Majesty the Queen at a picturesque Orangery in Łazienki Park, Poland.
