The Duchess of Cambridge turned heads when she attended a film premiere in London last night.

Wearing a stunning floor-length white gown with a daring thigh-high split, Kate braved the chill to step out on the red carpet in the elegant dress at the premiere for ‘A Street Cat Named Bob’.

The film, taken from the book of the same name, is based on a true story. At the centre of the tale is James Bowen, who was a young homeless busker. He found an injured stray cat, who he nursed back to health, and afterwards the ginger moggy refused to leave his side. Naming the cat Bob, the pair were inseparable and became immensely popular with the public.

‘He showed me that everybody has a second chance in life if they want it” James said speaking at the premiere. “He made me see the need to get clean so that I could take care of him and in turn take care of myself.”

Now the star of a book and film, Bob and James have their own happy home together. ‘At home he likes to sit down and watch telly” James revealed. “He is a bit of the king in the house.”

Bob looked every inch a king relaxed on a red velvet pillow at the premiere last night. Posing for adoring fans, the cat was unfazed by the flashing lights and cameras, and, so it seems, the Duchess of Cambridge!

“Is that purring or growling?”Kate asked James Bowen. To which James replied, “I’m really not sure if that’s purring or growling” before placing a protective hand over Bob.

Bob the cat was possibly the only guest at the premiere not bothered by the Duchess of Camrbidge’s presence. Screaming crowds snapped photos of the Duchess as she waved and smiled before disappearing inside.
