This year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing has well and truly begun, but how does early favourite Denise Van Outen feel about the pressure?
‘It doesn’t annoy me,’ she says. ‘But it’s a good thing because I’ll just work harder. This is completely different to what I’ve done before. I’ve never danced with a partner, so I’ve never had that pressure of having to make sure I get it right. My partner James [Jordan] is bossy, but I need someone strong who’ll put me in my place.’
She adds, ‘I’m used to being judged in this business anyway, because you are being judged all the time with reviews. But I don’t mind, because it puts fire in my belly.
After this weekend’s shows, who do you think will win this series – apart from Woman’s Own columnist Richard Arnold of course! Let us know in the comments below.
