Little George never fails to make us giggle!

Whoops! Prince George left mum and dad a little red faced after he publicly shunned a high five, low five from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Trudeau first shoot hands with Prince William and Kate at Patricia Bay, the home of a maritime helicopter squadron close to Victoria.

He then knelt down to meet three-year-old George, who was holding his father’s hand. George refused to be charmed by Trudeau’s friendly manner, appearing to ignore his gestures and shake his head. He did go on to give the Prime Minister a little wave though!

Perhaps we can blame it on the jet lag – after all he had just come off a mammoth flight from the UK to Canada for the family’s first Royal Tour all together. Who isn’t a little grumpy when they’re feeling tired out… Remember this face?

Justin Trudeau has gained a lot of popularity since his election thanks to his outspoken feminism and openness to diversity, but he’s yet to win over our little George. We’re sure the Prime Minister took it with a pinch of salt!

And it’s not like George has ever really been intimidated by major figures of authority. Remember when he met Barack Obama in his pjs? (Though President Obama did get a handshake – sorry Justin!)

George and Princess Charlotte, are in Canada for the first time, but it is the second trip for Kate and Wills, who visited in 2011.

The family are on an eight-day-tour of British Columbia and Yukon, where they are expected to make over 30 engagements.
