The jibe came after the Strictly Come Dancing host said it could be ‘disastrous’ for a child to appear on a talent show like BGT.
Bruce said: ‘The thing I object to is, I don’t think they should put young children through such an emotional thing… to put them on at that time of the evening with millions watching and the emotion, that could be maybe a bit disastrous for a child and a memory that could not do them a lot of good.’
However Simon was quick to defend his decision blasting Bruce as Mr Grumpy during Monday night’s show.
Not one to take an insult lying down Bruce has once again had a dig at the music mogul, this time for allowing acts from outside of the UK to audition.
Bruce said: ‘It should be about British acts – that’s the name of the show. Simon is bringing people in from abroad. Maybe he should have ‘World’s Got Talent’, then he’d have three shows!’
Over to you Simon…
Britain’s Got Talent is on ITV tonight at 7:30pm
