Fancy winning £1,000? Just send us a photo of you or someone in your family – baby/gran/aunt, or a pet, with a copy of Woman’s Own. The winning entry will win our fantastic cash prize to get 2013 off to a brilliant start. It really is as easy as that.
To inspire you, we have featured photos of Woman’s Own staff and their babies and pets enjoying their issues of Woman’s Own. Your picture can be amusing/unusual – whatever you want it to be.

The closing date for all entries is Midnight on Sunday 16th December 2012. Our Editor will choose one winner from the entries received and the winning entry will be posted on our website on Thursday 20th December 2012.

By submitting your photo you:
- agree to give Woman’s Own, published by IPC Media Limited (‘IPC’), a permanent, irrevocable and royalty-free right to use the content in any format or media as it thinks fit, and you waive any moral rights you may have in the images;
- confirm that any image submitted by you is of you, or if not of you, that you have the permission of the image subject (or of their parents if under 18);
- confirm that any content submitted by you is original and has been created by you or, if not, that you have the permission of the creator of the content to use it; and
- agree that you shall not submit any content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party or that is in breach of any obligation of confidentiality by which you are bound.
Entries which IPC deems abusive, defamatory, obscene or otherwise in poor taste will be deleted.
Terms and conditions: Entry: Entry is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and the Republic of Ireland, except employees (and their families) of IPC Media, its printers and agents, the suppliers of the prizes and any other companies associated with the competitions. The winner(s) must be aged 18 or over. Proof of identity and age may be required. Use of a false name or address will result in disqualification. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, indecipherable, or inaudible (if made by phone) will not be valid and deemed void. Only one entry per person is allowed. All entries must be submitted via email containing the person’s full name and contact details. The closing date for entries is Midnight 16 December 2012. All images entered into this competition cannot be returned. All entries must be made directly by the person entering the competition. Entries made online using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be void. Winner Selection: The Editor of Woman’s Own will judge and choose the winner. The Editor shall base her decision on the criteria set out in the promotional material. No correspondence will be entered into and the judge’s decision is final. The winning entry will be posted on womansown.co.uk on Thursday 20th December 2012. The winner will be notified of their win via post and will be required to sign and return a declaration form. A cheque for £1,000 will be made out to the winner and is not transferable. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted, or is unable to comply with these terms and conditions, IPC reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner-up, also chosen by the Editor. Prize: There is one prize. The prize is £1,000. There is one winner. The prize is as stated, and not transferable to another individual and no other alternatives will be offered. In the event of a prize being unavailable, IPC reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
